Why Does Zeno Flag Spelling or Grammar Errors That Are Not in My Document?

Understand why Zeno may identify a spelling or grammar issue that is not present and how to verify suggestions safely.

Written by Eloy Wijlhuizen

Zeno can suggest a spelling or grammar correction even when the original text is correct. Check the original passage before accepting a suggestion.

How to Check a Suggested Error

  1. Find the relevant passage in the original document.

  2. Compare the original wording with the wording Zeno refers to.

  3. Check the passage with Microsoft Word’s spelling and grammar tools or another dedicated language checker.

  4. Review the proposed change in context before deciding whether to apply it.

If the wording Zeno flags does not appear in the original document, disregard that suggestion.

When to Contact Support

If Zeno repeatedly refers to wording that is not in your document, contact Support. Include:

  • The affected passage from the original document.

  • Zeno’s suggestion.

  • A screenshot showing the mismatch, if it helps explain the issue.

Share only the information needed to investigate the issue. Remove unrelated or sensitive information from screenshots.
