Can Zeno Transcribe Audio Files?

Upload a supported audio file to Zeno, read its transcript, and troubleshoot common processing failures.

Written by Eloy Wijlhuizen

Yes. Upload a supported audio file to Files, and Zeno automatically creates a transcript while processing it. When processing finishes, you can play the recording and read the transcript together.

Upload an Audio File

  1. Open Files.

  2. Select Upload, then Upload files.

  3. Choose an MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, OGG, WebM, or AAC file.

  4. Open the processed file to play the recording and read its transcript.

If timestamps are available, select a passage in the transcript to jump to that point in the recording.

Note: An MP4 file must contain an audio track. Zeno compresses larger media automatically. If the compressed file is still over 25 MB, upload a shorter recording.

If Transcription Fails

If Zeno shows Transcription failed. Please re-upload the file., upload the file again. If it still fails, try a shorter recording or a different supported format.
