Review and Apply Suggested Changes

Written by Eloy Wijlhuizen

Review each suggested change in the Zeno Word Add-In before applying it to your document. You can apply, dismiss, or copy a suggestion.

To request changes, follow How to Use the Zeno Word Add-In.

Review an Individual Suggestion

Read the proposed wording in context. If you want to change it first, follow Edit a Suggestion Before Applying It.

Depending on the suggestion, you can apply it with Track changes, use Suggest as comment, or choose Apply directly. Some suggestions can also include a short rationale when you apply them. Dismiss an individual suggestion if you do not want to use it.

Apply or Dismiss a Group of Suggestions

When Apply all appears on a response, select it to apply the suggestions in that response. It does not apply suggestions from other responses. Review the suggestions in that response before selecting it.

When Dismiss all appears, select it to reject every displayed suggestion without changing the document.

Copy a Suggestion

To reuse a suggestion without changing the document, select Copy preview. The suggestion is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. See Copying the Text of a Suggestion for the dedicated guide.

Check the Document After Applying Changes

Check that the content and formatting still look as intended. Pay particular attention to complex formatting, numbered lists, tables, fields, cross-references, and reference markers.

See Word Add-In Limitations for the content Zeno can use and the parts you need to review separately.
