The Zeno Word Add-In works with the main text and tables in the document that is open in Word. Some content and formatting are outside its current scope, so review each suggestion before applying it.
What Zeno Uses From Your Document
Zeno uses text and structure from the main document body, including paragraphs, headings, lists, and tables. It also reads the displayed text of Word fields.
The Add-In includes pending tracked changes and open comments, including replies. Resolved comments are not included, and Zeno cannot resolve comments for you.
Content Outside the Current Scope
Zeno does not use the following as document context:
Headers and footers
Footnote and endnote text
Text boxes
Text that appears only inside images
Footnote and endnote reference numbers can remain in the main document body, but the note text itself is not included. Check suggestions near fields and reference markers before applying them.
Formatting and Layout
Zeno recognises common paragraph formatting such as bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and highlighting. It may not distinguish every formatting change within a paragraph that uses mixed styles.
After applying a suggestion, check paragraphs with complex formatting, numbered lists, tables, fields, and reference markers to confirm that the document still looks as intended.
Large Documents
The processing limit depends on the amount of document content rather than a fixed file size or page count.
If the Add-In shows Document too large, make a copy of your document. Shorten the copy, then select Check again before sending another instruction.
Automatic Page Numbers and Track Changes
Automatic page-number fields in headers and footers can make Word slower while Track Changes is on.
If Zeno shows Word may be slowing down, select Lock fields to pause automatic page-number updates. To let Word update the page-number fields again, open the ⋮ menu and switch off Automatic page numbers.
