What is Zeno Work?

Learn how Zeno Work handles connected legal tasks, uses Workspace files, performs research, and creates or edits Word documents.

Written by Eloy Wijlhuizen

Zeno Work helps you move from a legal request and source material to a result you can review and use. Instead of answering one question at a time, Zeno can work through several connected steps, use the relevant information and capabilities available to it, and prepare Word documents as part of the same task.

Work towards an outcome, not a single answer

Zeno Work is agentic. In practical terms, this means you can describe the outcome you need and let Zeno work out the steps required to get there.

Zeno can plan the work, use relevant Project files, move between analysis and document work, show its progress, and ask for your input when it needs a decision or more context. You can add information, answer questions, or redirect the task while the work is under way.

For example, you can ask Zeno to review a claim file, identify missing facts, check the relevant law, and update a draft advice. Zeno can carry those steps through in one thread rather than requiring a separate prompt for each part.

Zeno prepares the groundwork and drafts for your review. Legal strategy, professional judgement, and the final decision remain with you.

Create Word documents you can use

Zeno can create and edit Word documents within Zeno Work. The document you review in Zeno reflects how the Word file will look, including its structure and formatting. You can request changes, review the result, and use the Word document without rebuilding it elsewhere.

Zeno can also work from your firm’s Word templates. This helps drafts follow the layout and structure your firm already uses, whether you are preparing an agreement, advice, letter, or another legal document.

A task can produce more than one document. For example, Zeno can use a template and a table of employee details to prepare a separate agreement for each employee, or update a main document and prepare a related exhibit in the same thread.

Legal research without choosing a mode

You no longer need to choose a mode before starting a task. Describe what you need and provide the relevant context. When a legally substantiated response requires research, Zeno can use Legal Research as part of the work. When the task depends on the material you provided, it can focus on those documents instead.

This keeps research connected to the wider task. You can move from a legal question to analysis and a draft document without deciding in advance which part of Zeno to use.

A simpler working experience

Zeno Work introduces an updated interface and improvements across the product. A Project keeps related threads, Files, Word documents, and Rulebooks together, so the instructions, source material, progress, and results for a matter or project remain in one place.

Not every task uses every capability. What is available may also depend on your organisation’s setup.

Always review the result and the relevant source material before using it in your work.
